Lexar is well known among professional photographers. The Professional 1066x card is their latest CompactFlash offering. The card touts read speeds up to 160MB/s using the latest UDMA-7 protocol and a guaranteed continuous write speed of 65MB/s for video applications. It is available in a wide range of storage capacities: 16, 32, 64, 128 and 256GB.
In memory card readers, the Lexar 1066x exceeded its advertised speeds. It measured 162.3 MB/s sequential read in the Lexar CFR-1 card reader. Write speed was equally impressive, measuring 151.8 MB/s sequential write, also in the Lexar CFR1. The highest write speeds were reached under Windows 8.1, earlier tests under Windows 7 did not yield write speeds as fast (115MB/s maximum).

In cameras, the Lexar Professional 1066x outperformed every other CF card in our tests. In the Canon 7D Mark II the card measured 102.9 MB/s write speed. In the Nikon D810 it averaged 98.6MB/s write speed. While in the Nikon D800 it averaged 71.1MB/s. If you desire the fastest CF card for your camera, the Lexar 1066x is the one.
