Introduction

The Exceria Pro 1066x is the fastest CompactFlash card produced by Toshiba. The claimed read speed is 160MB/s and write speed is 150MB/s. The card suppoorts UDMA-7 to enable high speed transfers. The Exceria Pro 1066x is offered in 16, 32 and 64GB capacities. This review is for the 32GB version.

Performance

To test performance, the Exceria Pro 32GB was benchmarked in USB 3.0 card readers. In the Lexar Professional Workflow CFR1 CompactFlash Reader, the card reached 158.6 MB/s sequential read. In the Kingston FCR-HS4 it reach a maximum 147.9 MB/s sequential write speed. Both speeds were very close to the cliams made by Toshiba.

In camera testing, the Exceria Pro 1066x 32GB provided excellent performance. Write speed in the Canon 5Ds was 99.6 MB/s average in continuous shooting. This card will be included in upcoming camera tests.
