Transcend 1000x 128GB CompactFlash Memory Review
Introduction
The Transcend 1000x CompactFlash 128GB card supports UDMA-7 for high-speed transfers. It provides the speed necessary to keep up with Full HD video recording as well as continuous shooting in high-end DLSR cameras. The 128GB capacity provides room for over 30,000 high resolution JPEG images, thousands of RAW images or 32 hours of HD video at (9Mbps). In addition to the 128GB card tested for this review, the Transcend 1000x is also available in 16, 32, 64GB capacities.
Performance
Transcend rates this card at 160MB/s read and 120MB/s write speeds. In benchmark tests in card readers, it reached 158.4 MB/s sequential read in the Lexar Professional Workflow CFR1 CompactFlash Reader. It measured a maximum sequential write speed of 147.4 MB/s in the Kingston FCR-HS4 card reader.
