Kingston UHS-I U3 64GB SDXC 90/80 Speeed Class 3 Memory Card Review

Introduction

The Kingston UHS-I Speed Class 3 (U3) memory card offers fast 90 MB/s read and 80MB/s write performance. It meets UHS Speed Class 3 performance by providing at least 30MB/s continuous write performance making it ideal for recording 4K video. Its write speed is also well suited for continuous shooting in DSLR cameras. The Kingston UHS-I U3 card is available in capacities of 32, 64, 128 and 256 GB and is backed by a lifetime warranty.

Performance

Here we test the 64GB version of the Kingston UHS-I U3. It surpassed its specified read and write speeds in our benchmark tests. Tested in USB 3.0 card readers, it reached 98.5 MB/s sequential read speed and 88.6 MB/s sequential write speed.

Compared to previous testing of the 32GB version of the same card, read performance of the two cards was nearly identical. Sequential write performance of the 64GB card was about three to five percent lower compared with the 32GB version.
