The Lexar Professional 2000x UHS-II SD card continues to be one of the fastest SD cards available. The design of the card label has been updated since it was last reviewed, and this 2017 Rev E is the latest version available. Lexar 2000x cards harness the UHS-II interface to provide up to 300MB/s read speed and 260MB/s write speed. These 2000x cards are offered in 32, 64 and 128 GB capacities. The 32GB version model LSD32GCRBNA2000R Rev E with UPC 650590182039 is tested in this review. The card is made in Korea. The revision number is printed on the back of the card package above the bar code.
The high transfer rate provided by the 2000x card is enabled using the UHS-II bus via a second row of contacts on the back of the card. The card also has traditinal SD contacts and is backwards compatible with UHS-I and Standard SD devices. In devices that lack the UHS-II interface, the card will operate up to UHS-I speed and the card is capable of SDR104 (104MB/s maximum) mode.
The high speed of the Lexar 2000x card can be experienced when connected to a computer thanks to a portable USB 3.0 UHS-II SD card reader that is included with the card. A review of the LRMW04U-7000 reader covers that reader in detal.
The Revision E Lexar 2000x card was tested in multiple memory card readers. The highest read speed benchmark reached up to 301.5 MB/s. The sequential write speed topped out at 263.4 MB/s in the fastest card reader. Its performance varied in different UHS-II card readers. The read and write speeds surpassed those quoted by Lexar. In UHS-I readers it was limited to UHS-I speed and reached 94.9 MB/s read and 91.7 MB/s write.

Compared with the previous 32GB 2000x card teseted, the Rev E measured slightly faster in read speed. Write speeds were comparable but sometimes slightly lower depending on the card reader. In-camera results also showed the revised card to perform slightly below the previous generation card. However, the old card was notably slow in cameras like the Panasonic GH5, while the Rev E delivered better write speed.
