Acer CF100 CFast 2.0 512GB CFast Card Review
Introduction
Acer is a well-known computer manufacturer but a relatively new name in memory cards. Acer memory is made under license by BIWIN, a flash storage producer. The CF100 memory card is their CFast 2.0 storage product, offering up to 550MB/s read and 450MB/s write speeds according to the product specifications. The cards use MLC NAND memory. Acer CF100 cards have a 5-year warranty. The card tested is made in China. Available capacities include 64, 128, 256, 512GB and 1TB. The 512GB card was tested in this review. The card has UPC 887184012988 and the product number is BL.9BWWA.316, model CF100-512GB.
Performance
The CF100 card was benchmarked using several USB 3.0 card readers as well as a SATA to CFast 2.0 adapter. The USB 3.0 readers provide a typical workflow scenario, while the SATA adapter uses the card's native interface to simulate maximum throughput used a SATA connected device.
In testing the card reached 551MB/s read speed, which meets the quoted 550MB/s write speed. Write speed in all readers and tests fell well short of the 450MB/s read speed. The highest write speed was 388.7MB/s using a SATA to CFast adapter.

The following benmarks were performed using the SATA to CFast 2.0 adapter. During testing the card reached maximum temperature of 66°C.

ATTO is widely used to benchmark system disk performance using different test file sizes and compressible data.
Blackmagic provides a Disk Speed Test utility to evaluate storage media for different codecs and resolutions.
AJA Video Systems Disk Test provides the ability to use different resolutions and codecs to simulate reading and writing a video file.
