Delkin Power 2000x UHS-II V90 64GB SDXC Memory Card Review

Introduction

The new Power 2000x is the highest performing UHS-II memory card offered by Delkin. According to Delkin, it provides up to 300 MB/s read and 250 MB/s write speeds. In addition to speed, the card offers unmatched warranty with a 48-hour replacement guarantee.

UHS-II cards are backwards compatible with UHS-I and standard SD devices; however the card will operate at lower speed when used in such devices. The Power card is rated Video Speed Class 90 (V90) which means it is capable of 90MB/s continuous write speed for recording 4K video. The Delkin Power is available in 32, 64 and 128 GB capacities. Performance

The Delkin Power UHS-II card was subjected to benchmark tests in a variety of USB 3.1 and 3.0 card readers. In these tests, the maximum sequential read speed reached up to 298.3 MB/s, which is very close to the 300 MB/s rating given by Delkin. In write speed testing the card did not quite hit the 250 MB/s as promised; the highest benchmark test was only 234.4 MB/s. In UHS-I card readers the card reverts to UHS-I mode and attained a respectable 96.7 MB/s sequential read speed. The highest write speed in UHS-I mode reached 88.8 MB/s, which is also very good. In devices that lack UHS-II support the Delkin Power will provide nearly the highest level of performance possible in UHS-I mode.
