Integral UltimaPro X2 UHS-II 64GB SDXC V90 Memory Card Review

Introduction

Integral Memory is a UK based company that has a long history selling RAM and flash memory. Integral's top performing Secure Digital card is the UltimaPro X2 UHS-II V90. It boasts 280 MB/s read and 240 MB/s write speed maximums. The UltimaPro X2 UHS-II V90 SDXC card is covered in this review. According to the company the card uses Pseudo SLC (pSLC) capable of 20,000 Read/Write cycles. The card also carries the Video Speed Class 90 (V90) label, meaning it meets the standard set by the SD Association to provide at least 90MB/s continuous write speed for recording 8K and 4K video.

Integral UltimaPro X2 280/240 MB/s cards are produced in 32, 64 and 128 GB capacities. The 64GB version (INSDX64G-280/240U2) with UPC 5055288436183 was tested for this review. The card has a 5-year warranty.

Performance

To test the Integral UltimaPro X2 card, a variety of SD card readers were employed. In benchmark testing the 64GB card attained a 299 MB/s sequential read speed. This was above the 280 MB/s read speed rating. Write speed reached 263.9 MB/s sequential, which is also beyond Integral's 240 MB/s write speed claim. Overall the card achieved its claimed performance and worked well in a variety of card readers. The only exception was the Verbatim USB-C reader, which failed to work with the card. The Verbatim reader had issues with several other UHS-II cards.

In UHS-I devices the UltimaPro X2 will revert to UHS-I mode. In such a situation the read speed measured up to 96.7 MB/s, while write speed reached 92.5 MB/s.
