Kingston Canvas Select UHS-I V30 64GB SDXC Memory Card Review

Introduction

Kingston introduced a new brand of SD cards in 2018. The line consists of the entry-level Canvas Select, mid-tier Canvas Go! and top performing Canvas React. The Canvas Select offers UHS-I performance with UHS Speed Class 1 (U1) rating to provide at least 10MB/s continuous write speed. Kingston claims at least 80MB/s read and 10MB/s write performance. The Canvas Select is available in 16, 32, 64 and 128 GB capacities. The 64GB SDXC card SDS/64GB with UPC 740617275599 is covered in this review. The card is covered by Kingston's lifetime warranty.

Performance

The Kingston Canvas Select 64GB SDXC card was benchmarked in several card readers. The highest sequential read speed measured 95.2 MB/s, a notable improvement over the 80MB/s read speed claimed by Kingston. Testing the sequential write speed, the card reached up to 24.2 MB/s, better than the 10MB/s write speed quoted by Kingston.
