SanDisk Extreme 100MB/s UHS-I U3 V30 A1 64GB microSDXC Card Review

Introduction

The SanDisk Extreme 64GB microSDXC card has been updated with 100MB/s read speed and the new App Performance Class rating A1s. Write speed is rated at 60MB/s. The card also carries the Video Speed Class V30 rating, as well as the UHS Speed Class U3. It can sustain at least 30MB/s continuous write speed for recording HD and 4K video. The Extreme 100MB/s microSD cards are offered in 32, 64, 128 and 256GB capacities. This review is for the 64GB capacity microSDXC card model SDSQXAF-064G-GN6MA with UPC 619659155971.

Performance

The A1-rated Extreme 100MB/s microSDXC card was benchmarked in several memory card readers. In testing, the sequential read speed reached up to 99.6 MB/s, practially reaching its 100MB/s rating. The sequential write speed peaked at 72.6 MB/s, comfortably above the 60MB/s write speed quoted by SanDisk. The 64GB A1-rated card performed similarly to the non-A1 Extreme 90MB/s U3 V30 64GB microSDXC card tested previously.
