Introduction
SanDisk Extreme Pro 95MB/s UHS-I 256GB card offers gigantic capacity with the highest level of UHS-I performance available. SanDisk quotes 95MB/s read and 90MB/s write speeds for the card. The card is rated UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) making it suitable for continuous 4K video recording. The Extreme Pro 95MB/s UHS-I cards are available in 16, 32, 64, 128, 256 and 512 GB capacities. This review is for the 256GB capacity SDXC version (SDSDXP-256G-A46). Previous reviews of the 32GB, 64GB and 128GB Extreme Pro 95MB/s cards are available.
Performance
The 256GB Extreme Pro 95MB/s UHS-I card was measured for read and write speed using performance benchmarks in USB 3.0 card readers. The card posted sequential read benchmarks up to 99.5 MB/s and write speeds as high as 91.7 MB/s. This places the 256GB Extreme Pro among the top UHS-I card tested in any capacity.
