Silicon Power Superior Pro 128GB SDXC Memory Card Review

Introduction

Silicon Power is a Taiwan-based manufacturer of flash memory and storage devices. As of 2018, the fastest SD card offered by Silicon Power is the Superior Pro UHS-I card with read speed of 90MB/s and write speed of 80MB/s. The card is UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) rated to sustain a minimum 30MB/s continuous write speed for 4K video recording. Superior Pro cards are offered in 16, 32, 64, 128 and 256 GB capacities. Performance

The Silicon Power Superior Pro was tested for performance in USB 3.1 and 3.0 card readers. In benchmark tests the card had a highest sequential read speed of 97.9 MB/s, which is more than the advertised 90MB/s read speed. The sequential write speed measured up to 67.4 MB/s, well below the 80MB/s write speed claim.
