Although the Toshiba EXCERIA line is not officially distributed in the US, it is a well-established brand wordwide. It is also one of the few brands that actually manufactuers the NAND memory chips used inside SD cards. Toshiba and SanDisk jointly own a flash memory factory in Yokkaichi, Japan.
This Type 2 sits in the middle of the EXCERIA line. It shares the same read speed of 95MB/s with the top-tier EXCERIA Type 1. The Type 2 claims 60MB/s write speed, while the Type 1 claims 90MB/s write speed. The Type 2 is offered in 16, 32 and 64 GB capacities.
In USB 3.0 card readers, the Exceria Type 2 reached 97.1 MB/s sequential read speed, the same as the Type 1. Sequential write speed was a consistent 65 MB/s across many card readers.

Where the EXCERIA Type 2 is readially available, it would be a good choice. Its unofficial distribution in the US causes its price to rise. Toshiba USA recently announced an Exceria UHS-I SD card in the US, and it claims the same 95MB/s read and 60MB/s write performance as the Type 2.
