Lexar Introduces 1000x and 2000x UHS-II SD Memory Cards

Lexar Professional 2000x UHS-II SD cards 32GB 64GBLexar has introduced two new Secure Digital memory cards supporting the latest UHS-II technology. The Lexar Professional 2000x cards offers up to 300MB/s transfer speed when used with UHS-II compatible devices. The Lexar Professional 1000x provides transfer speeds up to 150MB/s. These cards are optimized for high-performance DSLR and HD video application, including 4K and 3D video formats.

The Lexar Professional 2000x will be available in 32 and 64 GB capacities. The Professional 1000x will be available in 16, 32, 64, 128 and 256 GB capacities. All cards offer UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) performance and support a minimum continuous write speed of 30 MB/s.

The new UHS-II cards are backwards compatible with UHS-I devices and will operate at UHS-I speed (UHS-I is limited to 104 MB/s maximum speed). The latest version of Image Rescue is also available for free download with the purchase of Lexar Professional cards. The cards are backed by a lifetime warranty and support by Lexar.

Lexar also annouced a new Professional Workflow SR2 card reader that supports UHS-II SDHC and SDXC cards. The reader uses a high speed USB 3.0 interface to provide maximum throughput.

The Professional UHS-II cards and reader will be available in Q4 2014. The Professional 2000x card will retail for $105.99 for the 32GB and $184.99 for 64GB. The Professional 1000x cards will retail for $546.99 (256GB), $174.99 (128GB), $97.99 (64GB), $55.99 (32GB) and $31.99 (16GB). The Workflow SR2 reader will retail for $29.99.
