PixelFlash SuperSport 1000x-PRO 128GB CompactFlash Card Review
Introduction
The PixelFlash SuperSport 1000x-PRO is a high-performance UDMA-7 CompactFlash card for videographers and photographers who demand speed. PixelFlash claims up to 165MB/s transfer rate, although it is not specified if this a read and/or write speed. The SuperSport 1000x-PRO CF card is available in 32, 64, 128 and 256GB capacities. The card tested for this review is 128GB.
According to PixelFlash the SuprtSport 1000x-PRO is suitable for RAW video recording, including MagicLantern. The card carries a VPG-65 rating, which indicates the card capable of at least 65MB/s continuous write performance. The card has a lifetime warranty from PixelFlash.
Performance
PixelFlash SuperSport 1000x-PRO 128GB card was tested in several USB 3.0 card readers. Benchmark tests showed a maximum 159.3 MB/s sequential read speed, which is close to the 165MB/s transfer speed claim. Sequential write speed reached 141.0 MB/s maximum in the card reader benchmark using the Kingston FCR-HS4 card reader.
