SanDisk Extreme 120MB/s 32GB CF Card Review

Introduction

The SanDisk Extreme 120MB/s provides a combination of performance, reliability and value. Its provides 120MB/s advertised read speed and 60MB/s write speed including UDMA-7 support. The Extreme CF card is available in 16, 32, 64 and 128 GB capacities. The 32GB capacity card (SDCFXS-064G) is reviewed here.

Performance

In USB 3.0 card readers, The SanDisk Extreme CF card reached a maximum read speed of 124MB/s in the Lexar Professional Workflow CFR1 CF card reader. A sequential write speed of 68.3 MB/s was measured in the same card reader.

Tested in cameras, the SanDisk Extreme CF card measured 60 MB/s write speed in the Canon 7D Mark II. In Nikon cameras, its write speed measured 53.5 MB/s in the D810 and 47.4 MB/s in the D800.
