SanDisk Ultra 32GB CompactFlash Memory Card Review

Introduction

The SanDisk Ultra provides reliable storage in a CompactFlash card. It supports up to UDMA mode 5, which makes it slower than more recent UDMA-7 cards (167MB/s). SanDisk labels this card 50MB/s (read speed). It is the value choice when cost is more important than speed. It is available in 4, 8, 16 and 32 GB capacities.

Performance

The SanDisk Ultra CF card performed up to 55MB/s sequential read speed in our benchmark tests. We measured the highest read speed using the Lexar Professional Workflow CFR1 CF card reader. A fastest write speed of 38MB/s was reached in card readers.

In cameras, the Ultra CF card reached 34.3 MB/s write speed in the Canon 7D Mark II. It measured 33.3 MB/s in the Nikon D810 and 26.7MB/s in the D800.
